Lightweight, porous and striking: Black lava creates strong contrasts in aquariums and at the same time offers a lot of surface area for beneficial biofilms.

The volcanic rock is generally pH- and KH-neutral, plant- and shrimp-friendly, and ideal for Iwagumi, Ryuboku, or mixed layouts.

Its open structure is perfect for tying up mosses and epiphytic plants.
